HID Ballasts: Where should we start with the latest generation of Morimoto XB ballasts?The industrial-edge design by California native Artur Saakyan is undeniably cool. They’re crazy efficient, thanks to the latest DSP circuit technology. They also warm up to full operating intensity in a flash, like all good ballasts should. And, they’re designed to reduce any chance of failures and misfires while producing the lowest possible levels of electromagnetic radio interference. We’re sold! How about you?

H11 HID Bulbs: We’ve been impressed with Morimoto HID bulbs for quiet a while now, and judging from how many we’ve been shipping, so are many of you. However, this latest iteration of the XB HID really opened our eyes with some ultra intense and efficient light. The key is an automated manufacturing process that ensures the precise alignment of each 100% Philips Quartz glass bulb. It takes a little more time, but Morimoto is dedicated to getting it right.

H11A vs. H11B? Make the right choice on which HID bulb you require with the help of this Picture and Video. Choosing the wrong product can result in the presence of a shadow in your light output. We’ve found the H11B tends to work with most newer Japanese vehicles, while the H11A (regardless of what stock size states) matches the fitment of most Hyundai/Kia models.

Wire Harness: Good in the past and almost perfect with the latest generation, Morimoto makes the best wire harness on the aftermarket. You get the ease of plug-n-play functionality in a harness that will provide precision power and signal delivery to your ballasts and bulbs. Will they last? A triple-sealed central 40A relay and over-molded fittings keep moisture out. Do they look good? Yup, just like OEM thanks to an abrasion resistant Tech-flex mesh material covering the 14-gauge stranded copper wiring.

Canbus Harnesses: If you own a vehicle that’s designed to deter modifications by recognizing when original components have been removed, a special Morimoto Standalone Canbus harness is available with the H11 HID kit. Rather than getting a “bulb out” warning, as is common when retrofitting the lighting on many European automobiles, the replacement harness utilizes clever modern technology to essentially hide the fact that anything has been changed from the vehicle’s ECU.

Warrantied: We’re able to confidently offer a 5-year warranty on the H11 HID kit* and all of its components. Morimoto Elite Systems are designed to run for 2,500 hours, and we’ll happily honor that guarantee to the very last minute. You’ll see a lot of crazy claims online about lifetime warranties that are best taken with a grain of salt.
