When installed, the item provides sufficient clearance and even has a location for the license plate relocation.
Umnitza Tire Carrier universally fits on almost all vehicles with a Class III/2″ hitch receiver. This swing-away, spare tire carrier mounts to any 2-inch, Class III hitch receiver and is perfect for SUVs, Jeeps, vans and pickups - but specifically designed with the unusual 5X150 bolt pattern for Toyota Sequoia - something no other carrier boasts. Why struggle getting the bolt pattern right when you have it ready to go.
Release a single latch pin (use a cotter pin or don't, it works either way) and it opens wide for full access to the vehicle’s cargo space. Umnitza Tire Carrier is officially tow-rated at 7,500 lbs (max trailer weight) and 750 lbs (tongue weight). *These limits may be more than your vehicle’s capacity. ALWAYS stay within the limits of your vehicles tow/tongue ratings)* The tire carrier is rated for 150lbs of total weight. We recommend additional caution, if uncertain, it's best to be safe and not exceed 3500lbs and remove the carrier prior to towing a trailer or other heavier equipment.

***Fitment Notes -
Identify that you have at least 4 ½” from your hitch pin hole towards the front of your vehicle. Doing so will ensure that the Umnitza Tire Carrier will be able to seat properly. You may need to purchase "D" rings or additional tow safety chain extensions.
Factors that can result in the receiver tubing not fitting can be caused by:
- Receiver tubing has a plate on the back end of the receiver that restricts the hitchgate tubing from running back enough for the wedge lock to have room to engage or hitch pin holes to align.
- Some model vehicles have a muffler in the rear that interferes with how far back the tubing is allowed to run. This will require the muffler or exhaust components to be relocated.
- You want to make sure the face of your hitch receiver recedes no more than 1” behind your bumper.
